Funeral Services were held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4125 Constitution Avenue in  Colorado Springs, Colorado

Chuck Petersma was one of the founders of the Falcon Volunteer Fire Department.  He helped build the previous Fire Station 1, which is now Headquarters located on Meridian Road and Hwy 24.  Chuck was also involved with keeping the trucks running.  Serving as Captain on the Department, Chuck was the first member to retire after 20 years of service.

Along with his wife Pam, Chuck helped with the Annual Pancake Breakfast making it a success year after year.  He was also chief cook and bottle washer for the annual volunteer firefighters pig roast.   

Chuck was instrumental in helping the department grow into what it is today and he will be truly missed.
