Terry Reed
Director Reed was sworn in for a two-year term in May of 2023.
I am a retired U.S. Civil Servant with 30 years of Civil Service with Headquarters Air Force Space Command with an additional seven years of active duty serving in the U.S. Army. I am an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and currently provide facility maintenance, planning, and IT support and served on multiple church boards. Within my community, I served as a member and secretary of the Stetson Hills Special Improvement Maintenance District. I am family and community service oriented helping others in any way possible. I enjoy building and working on computers, outdoor activities of hunting, fishing, and ATV trips and adventures.
I have great admiration for those serving as first responders and have always sought ways to serve and support my neighbors and community. I believe I can assist in guiding and planning the efforts needed to remain focused on serving the community. I believe in a team effort and in the need to communicate with the community and team members when it comes to public duty and responsibilities. New developments within the district will require cost-effective management and planning while expanding to meet the increasing need. I would like to help the team and community continue the great work outgoing board leadership has accomplished and help guide department members through a certainly challenging future.
Thirty years experience in logistics. Responsible for organizing, directing, and exercising management control of multiple subordinates and geographically separated operational sites and units. Experienced in contract development, oversight, and recurring evaluation. In addition to contract development, specific experience in logistics budgets, planning of recurring maintenance including supply and equipment support, vehicle and equipment procurement, and infrastructure development. Early involvement in planning and procuring alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure support provided me with a unique background for future possibilities and a realistic experience to guide insightful solutions.
